When I have to do mundane things like wall-mounting a TV, laying out a computer network, installing a Hi-Fi, installing a satellite dish, or laying the cable for an additional landline phone, I go through it again and again. How to hide wires?

The contemplation of wires is not very pleasant for the eyes and in some cases can even cause mental disturbance - not to mention the safety of the residents of the house. So what to do? Hide them if you can.

So some tips general plan, which will help you to hide the wires, including placing them in the wall and in the floor, applying additional materials and transition to wireless connections.

Walls and floors.

One of the best methods available for hiding wires in a home is running them in a wall or under a wall. flooring. To be fair, there is a risk of injuring your wife, who may freak out when she sees you armed with a high-speed drill aimed at her beautiful parquet. And, let's face it, if you don't have experience with this kind of work, it can be a little more difficult than it first appears. If you follow this path, first of all, talk first with experienced people, even better - with a specialist.

Other Solutions

If you're hesitant about choosing a method for running cables inside walls or floors (or if you want to avoid these extreme jobs that bring dust, noise, and subsequent repairs), remember that hope dies last. There are also outdoor ways to hide the wires. These tricks are aimed at laying cables as neatly as possible in more modest ways.

    • Disguise classic. Consider hiding the wires without much effort. Houseplants in front of cables hanging from wall-mounted TVs are good enough for the job. Tall monsters, dracaena, ivy weaving along a special rack ... Just be careful when watering them. Another option is a bunch of beautiful high dry bamboo, which today is not difficult to find in stores - and you do not need to water it.
    • Tricks with furniture. Strategically placed armchairs, sofas, couches, and chairs can help hide unsightly wires connecting home theater components, computer networks, and other cables. This works especially well with furniture with low clearance, that is, with a small clearance from the floor.
    • We go around the doors. To make the cables less visible, run them around the doors and along the architraves. Also see how the shadows fall in these places in your room and take advantage of the lighting features. In general, this method works well if you need to hide one cable. But this can also be easily vetoed by the mistress of the house.
    • Under carpet. Carpeting can hide wires, but be careful to run the wires around the outer perimeter to avoid creases and unexpected trips over them.
    • Special solutions. Of course, the world has already thought of everything and trade has long been ready to provide you with everything you need. You just need to know what to look for. Pipes, channels, cable ducts are designed to save men and contribute to their mission around the house. When used correctly, these solutions allow you to route cables in a way that looks smart and professional, while keeping cables well organized, safe and out of sight. These fixtures are often available in an assortment of colors, sizes and, if you try, you can find the perfect option in accordance with the overall design of the room. This also includes special skirting boards with a chute for cable routing.

A few extra tips to give a special aura of success to any wiring project.

    • Marking both ends of each cable will help you find the right cable long after installation. You can come up with something at hand, but there are such little things on sale.
    • Wherever possible, keep data cables and signal cables (computer network, audio cables, video cables, etc.) away from AC power cables. This will keep noise (speaker noise, picture ripples, data glitches) to a minimum.
    • For audio and video cable, length is a critical parameter: the shorter the length of the audio and video cable, the less loss signal and less interference of external fields on the signal. For HDMI cables too: the shorter the better. The longer the AV cable, the higher the quality should be. The length of the optical cable, within reasonable limits, does not play a role and only affects its cost, but its poor flexibility and high fragility must be taken into account.
    • For a twisted-pair computer network cable, the length is not so important, so it is better to make a small margin (one or two meters).
    • An excessively long power cable (power cable) runs the risk of being crushed by the leg of a chair, table, heel, or broken. The insulation can be damaged by the teeth of a pet or even a child. All this poses a risk electric shock and potential source of fire. Optimally, the power cable should not be open all the way to the outlet.
    • Avoid cables with an outer sheath in the form of a fabric braid. It looks very decorative, but quickly loses its neat appearance.
    • Keep computer network cables away from fluorescent lighting.
    • Be careful where the cable is bent. The inner sheath of the cable may break, you will hardly notice it, but this will create problems, the cause of which will be difficult to determine.

Switching to a wireless network for maximum effect.

To make cabling work as easy as possible, wireless solutions have been developed and are commercially available. If we are talking about a computer network, then there are Wi-Fi routers and a data transmission system for household electrical network, which uses already hidden power wires in the house. There is a wireless "extender" for a landline phone and similar systems for a home theater. These are just a few examples of how to use wireless technologies transmission of signals and data, which can reduce the amount of wires in your home.

As for the power supply network of household equipment, in this direction for last years there has also been a significant shift. Operating models of wireless stands for TV and audio equipment, TVs that can be powered wirelessly have already been demonstrated. Mobile phone models were introduced that can charge batteries without charger on the same principles of wireless power transmission. Perhaps by the time you read this article, such models will already be in trading network. But even with this solution to the problem of hiding wires, the wire will still have to be laid - most likely, along the perimeter of each room. It is from this perimeter that energy will be emitted for all electrical equipment inside the room.

If you, after reading articles on the Internet regarding the harm of wireless (Wi-Fi) technologies, are worried about your health and the health of your loved ones, take into account also the fact that ordinary AC wires that surround you along all the walls up and down are not at all as harmless as it might seem. In addition, regardless of whether you install wireless equipment in your home or not, the volume of your habitat is already saturated with a dense flow of electromagnetic fields from the cellular network, satellite systems, navigation systems, security systems, radio, television, microwaves neighbors, etc. etc.

2. Color boxes

3. Plinth with cable

4. Installing the baseboard

5. Decorative camouflage

6. Decorative staples

7. Cable management on the table

8. Spiral tube for organizing cables

9. Hanger for extension

10. Color boxes

Disguising the cords running around the room is quite simple. The main thing is to dream up a little, using improvised means and some design techniques. Next, we will do the following - we will analyze separately how to hide the wires from the TV, computer and even the lamps on the wall!

TV and internet

It is not difficult to hide from the eyes of the network cable and television wires running through the room. It is best to use a special electrical plinth, which will go through the whole house to the bedroom or hall. If you don’t want to buy a new skirting board, you can carefully disguise a bunch of wires using special design stuff, like a picket fence, as in the photo below:

In order not to pull the Internet cable from front door to the bedroom, it is recommended to install a Wi-fi router at the entrance to the apartment (in the hallway). In this case, the network connection will be wireless and you will not have to pull the cable between rooms, through doorways and sills.

In addition, you can hide television wires in a cable duct, which is quite simply attached to the wall with self-tapping screws. To date, there are many that are suitable in color not only in ordinary apartment but also in a wooden house.

If the repair has already been done, then the most best solution there will be the use of decor elements - beautiful clips that will decorate the wires from the wall-mounted TV running along the floor and wall. You can also see an example of this method of solving the problem in the photo:

If you want to hide the cords from the TV during repairs, we recommend making a special niche for them in drywall, or vice versa, assemble a box:

In order not to ditch the walls, you can hide the TV and the Internet cable in the plinth, if you make it as shown in this video:

How to neatly remove the cable?

Well, the last way is to make a groove in the wall behind the plasma and run electrical wires through it. However, this is the most time-consuming option and is best avoided. Imagine that the TV will need to be hung on another wall, but you will have to think again how to hide the antenna cable.

As for the rest of household appliances - air conditioner, music center or even home theater, using the ideas listed above, you can disguise hanging wires using the same technique. The cable from the air conditioner is most often hidden in the cable channel, and from the home theater, the wires are allowed over the plinth, securing them with special clips.

A computer

Computer wires spoil the interior of the room very much, and if you dream a little, you can hide them quite nicely.

The first idea is to disguise all the cords from the monitor, system unit and modem under the table top, securing them with clips on self-tapping screws or double-sided tape. This idea was clearly shown in the photo example:

You can see another easy way to hide everything superfluous under the table cover in this video tutorial:

How to remove extra cords from the "computer"?

Don't want to ruin the table? You can hide wires from computer equipment in a shoe box, decorating it in an original way to match the bedroom interior.

How to make such a box with your own hands, you can find out by watching this video:

How useful is a shoebox?

Besides original idea it is considered to buy a special cover for the extension cord, which is quite simply attached to the lid of the desk.

If the speaker cord bothers you, you can easily hide it in a suitable cover that is attached to the back of the table.

All extra cords, including charging, can be beautifully removed from the table using ordinary clips, as in the picture below:

Another idea is to thread the whole bunch of wires through the hose. In this case, the chaos under the table will hide in one single shell, which will not spoil the interior of the room or even the office so much.

Using all these tips, you can disguise electrical wires and make workplace more careful. It's not hard to just put the cords and cables in a box or secure under a table! In addition to the fact that in this way you will put things in order on computer desk, so also disguise allows you to protect the cords from dogs and cats who like to gnaw on chargers, headphones, etc.

Fixtures

If all the wiring from the chandelier is hidden in the lamp body, then the cord for hiding is a little more difficult. If the wall is bare, you can decoratively hide the hanging wire by building it up and making a drawing on the wall. You can see an example of such an idea in the photo:

If you are thinking about how to hide the wires from the sconce during repairs, it is best to connect the lamp from the junction box, and not through the outlet. In this case, all electrical wiring will hide under the plaster and wallpaper, and the interior will not be damaged. Do you want to do without shtrobleniye? Then hide all the excess in the cable channel running along the wall.

Hide the power supply from led strip can be in a special box, which is mounted under the ceiling and allows in the kitchen or in the hall.

That's all I wanted to say about this issue. We hope that you have got ideas for yourself on how to hide wires from a TV, computer and other household appliances so that it is beautiful.

Even with the fact that wireless technologies are increasingly taking their place in our daily lives, we are not yet able to completely abandon the wires. Despite any Wi-Fi networks, television, telephone and Internet cables are still present in our apartments (not to mention ordinary electrical wires).

Even if all this is connected in one cable, there is no escape from the need to lay it. So, the wires need to be somehow masked. How? Read our article...

INSIDE OR OUTSIDE?

You should start with the fact that there are two main ways to hide the wiring: directly inside the wall or on its outer side.

The first option involves a lot of dusty work: you have to ditch the walls and spoil the existing finishes, postponing dreams of beautiful interior for some time. But this option will radically solve the problem of interior aesthetics. It is recommended to use this method during the overhaul of an apartment or in a new building.

For those who do not care to hide the wires once and for all, we can offer one of the simplest and most budgetary options - cable channels. Let's outline their main advantages:

  • the problem of ugly, tangled or hanging wires is completely solved: the cables are hidden, and a decorative element in the form of a cable channel appears on the floor or wall;
  • ease of installation: the cable channel box is fixed on the wall, the wires are laid inside, and the top is covered with a lid. No inconvenience with a wall chaser, dust, construction debris and damaged finishes;
  • ease of use: the cover and the body of the cable channel are connected using a latch, which allows you to open and check the cables inside at any time, lay a new one or remove an unnecessary wire;
  • due to the presence of various connecting elements, it is possible, if necessary, to increase the cable route in length, lead it to the wall, ceiling, or, conversely, lower it to the floor;
  • low cost makes the cable channel one of the most affordable ways to beautifully hide the wiring.

Few non-specialists in this field know that a cable channel is not just a plastic box with an opening lid. Today in the markets you can find the most different types cable channels for various purposes.

Knowing which boxes are used for what, it will be much easier for you to navigate when buying, and the interior will look much neater.

WHY IS IT NECESSARY TO INSTALL CABLE CHANNELS?

Firstly, they make the interior of the room more neat and aesthetically attractive. Agree, entangled between

a wire - not the best decoration your room.

Secondly, it is convenient: it will be much easier to figure out which wire feeds a certain device.

And third, it's safe. If you have small children or pets in your house, it is imperative to hide the wiring in order to

protect them from electric shock. Even a medium-sized cockatoo parrot is able to bite through a 0 10 mm wire with its beak!

TYPES OF CABLE CHANNELS

Today, cable channels are made of aluminum, steel, and also plastic.

PLASTIC CABLE CHANNELS

The most popular are plastic cable channels, as they have good performance. Cable channels themselves are usually made of PVC.

main feature quality material in that, under mechanical action, the channel changes its shape and also easily restores it without significant changes.

Accessories for cable channels are made of ABS plastic with additional additives that prevent the spread of combustion and the release of harmful fumes when heated (the composition is similar to the material of plastic parts of sockets and switches). Such material is easy to recognize: its structure is uniform, there is no foliation, the product is strong enough.

Plastic models have different colors. Very popular models with a pattern under the tree.

METAL CABLE CHANNELS

Metal models (aluminum and steel) are characterized by excellent fire performance. High-quality galvanized steel has a special coating that prevents corrosion. Metal cable channels have a long service life and are much more durable than plastic models - they can even withstand hammer blows.

The price of such products starts from 2200 rubles. per running metre.

SKIRTING CABLE CHANNELS

Often, a cable channel is not an interior decoration, but the need to hide the wires so that they are as invisible as possible. Plinth cable channels perfectly cope with this task.

These are a kind of plastic skirting boards, in the central part of which there is an internal cavity where the wires are laid. There are whole systems of skirting cable channels: not only long trays, but also a number of additional devices that allow you to assemble a structure of any configuration.

It can be external and internal corners, bends of various shapes, plugs, mounting boxes on which switches and sockets can be installed. There is also an option to install sockets directly at the level of the plinth. This is convenient in the kitchen when sockets are brought out for a built-in large household appliances(fridge, dishwasher, electric stove) - so they do not interfere, they are even practically invisible.

The disadvantage of such a system is that the plinth cable channel can accommodate not a large number of wires. Most often, a television cable is hidden in it. To bring the connectors in the right places, there is special fittings, allowing you to do this neatly and as imperceptibly as possible.

Common sizes of plinth cable channels: 15 x 100; 20 x 50; 20 x 70; 25 x 100 mm. Also on sale are cable channels of both large sizes (35 x 80; 35 x 105; 50 x 80; 50 x 105; 50 x 150; 65 x 150 mm) and mini-series (20 x 12.5, 32 x 12.5; 40x12.5; 32x16:^0x16; 60x60; 60x20; 75x20 mm).

The price of such a product depends on the manufacturer, the most budget models can be purchased at a price of 385 rubles. per linear meter, the price of accessories starts from 30 rubles. a piece.

FLOOR CABLE CHANNELS

It happens that you need to pull the wires to the center of the room along the floor.

You can, of course, throw an extension cord. But in this case, wires will appear again, which are easy to touch and catch, and it is undesirable to carry a computer chair along the wire - you have to lift it every time.

This is where cable ducts come in handy. They are used for reliable laying of cables on the floor, as they can withstand heavy loads. And besides, the relatively small height of the structure allows you to move freely around the room without fear of stumbling, and even a computer chair on wheels can easily overcome this obstacle.

This type of cable duct differs both in shape and installation method. They are mounted on the floor, so they have a rounded shape on one side, so they do not interfere with movement. Available in impact resistant plastic or aluminium. There are also accessories for them - joints, corners and plugs. The most common sizes: 50 x 12; 75×17; 92×20; 160×65 mm.

The price of outdoor cable channels is not much different from the plinth ones - they are sold at a price of 370 rubles. per running metre.

FOR WALLS PARAPET CABLE CHANNELS

Cable channels of this type are similar in structure to skirting boards. The main difference is. that they are mounted above floor level. Installation of parapet cable channels is usually carried out at the level of window sills or at the level of the workplace. In the case of parapet cable channels, it is possible to install switches, various sockets (for a 220 V electrical network, television, Internet, etc.). They also consist of various elements, allowing you to assemble any configuration.

Parapet cable channels have various options finishes that allow either to make the channel invisible (then the elements are matched to the color of the wall decoration), or, conversely, to highlight and make an accent in the interior.

The price for parapet cable channels is almost twice as high as for outdoor ones and averages 600 rubles. per running metre.

PERFORATED CABLE CHANNELS

This is a kind of electrical boxes, distinctive feature which is a perforation (comb-shaped profile) on the sides. They are, as a rule, a U-shaped profile 2 m long and have a different cross section. If necessary, they are completed with a lid with continuous or partial perforation. As in other models of cable channels, the cover snaps into place after laying the cables. This profile design is used to lighten the weight and installation of cable routes. Perforated cable channels are often used when appearance this installation is not so important (for example, in storage rooms, cellars, utility rooms).

Prices for such cable channels are among the most budgetary - an average of 200 rubles. per running metre.

FLEXIBLE CABLE CHANNELS

In situations where a "flexible approach" is important - if the walls, floor or ceiling have a relief or height differences - we need such cable channels that can freely repeat this shape. In this case, flexible cable channels are used. There are cable channels of open and closed types. Open are convenient in service and installation. Closed completely prevent the ingress of foreign objects. TYPES OF FLEXIBLE CABLE CHANNELS:

  • flexible chains (or tracks)- multi-section structures that can be bent along the entire length in one plane (up and down). Each element of the "chain" is connected to adjacent links by a hinged hitch and has a snap-on cover. There are small gaps between the links, so the cable channels are called semi-closed.

Most often they are used in production to connect machine tools. However, this does not mean that the owner of a private house cannot use such a cable channel. If he has his own home workshop or garage, this view will be very useful to him. Width of flexible chains - from 20 to 234 mm;

  • tubular: flexible cable channel to go to the door. Such a cable channel consists of a flexible metal hose and two fasteners that are attached to the wall and door. Typically, such transitions are used to power electric locks. Please note that the tubular cable channel can be bent countless times, but only on the condition that there are flexible wires inside (made of thin wire)
  • molded from soft plastic or rubber. Cable channels, molded from rubber or soft plastic, have sufficiently thick walls that can prevent moisture from entering inside. In a private house, cast cable channels are successfully used for wiring in a bathhouse (with the exception of a steam room).

Flexible cable channels will cost more - prices start at 1000 rubles. per running metre.

MINI CABLE CHANNELS

By and large, mini-cable channels are standard U-shaped channels with a cover, but with a much smaller cross section. Another difference from conventional cable channels is the absence of accessories (plugs, joints, corners, etc.). They are used where it is not necessary to hide a large number of wires: for example, when connecting ceiling lighting to country house. Mini-cable channels can be of the following sizes: 10 x 10; 12 x 12; 16 x 14; 20×20; 25×25; 40×40 mm.

The price of mini-cable channels varies from 60 to 150 rubles. per running metre.

FOR CORNERS

Corner cable channels, due to their design, can be installed at the junction of the wall of the room and the ceiling, and less often - instead of a plinth.

Angled cable channels are cut with a hacksaw at the desired angle. Do this carefully so that the corners meet exactly with each other, as they can serve as decorative element- molding. No one will guess that the wires are hidden under it! However, such a cable channel also has a drawback - it does not have as much space as in the baseboard.

The most common dimensions are 40 x 40 mm, so you can’t put a lot of cables in it, and we don’t even talk about wiring. Also, skirting cable channels have thinner walls and there is a high probability of damage when laying at the bottom. Here you need to be careful not to damage the wires that you will lay.

The price of such cable channels varies from 60 to 150 rubles. per running metre.

IS IT WORTH HIDING THE WIRES IN THE WALL?

If the style of the interior and your means allow, you can go in an extremely contradictory way: do not hide the wiring, but, on the contrary, put it on display. How?

RETROWIRE

First, of course, we will talk about retro wiring.

Some time ago, this is exactly how the wiring was done: insulators were nailed to the wall, and twisted wires. Then came the fashion for hidden wiring: everyone tried to hide the wires as much as possible, leaving only the frames of sockets and switches outside, but they also tried to make them as less noticeable as possible. However, in recent times designers realized that everything new is a well-forgotten old, so retro-style open wiring is gaining popularity again.

It fits perfectly into the loft style, English, classic styles interiors, and also looks great in wooden houses made of logs, where a plastic cable channel would look just ridiculous.

If everything is clear with the first reason (aesthetic), then the second reason why cable channels are not installed in log houses is that a wooden house changes its size all the time. Even after the main shrinkage has passed, there are changes and they are seasonal in nature: during wet periods, the wall becomes higher, during dry periods it settles. The difference in height can be up to 5 cm per floor! And since the cable channels do not change their size, there is a problem of their damage.

Retrowiring and all accessories for it are not cheap: the twisted wire itself - from 165 rubles. per linear meter, sockets - from 1200 apiece, switches - from 1500 apiece.

CREATIVE WIRING

If you are a young and active person or just keep up with current trends you will love our ideas.

Organize whole pictures from wires! To do this, you will need a sketch or photograph of the future picture, a construction pencil, a couple of packs of brackets for attaching the cable, and the wire itself, the length of which depends on the size and complexity of the future drawing. The linear picture itself is outlined with a pencil, as well as the places where the cable begins (for example, a socket) and its end (a lamp).

But if there is not enough wire for the picture, but you still want to decorate it, cut out the silhouettes of birds from thick black cardboard and “plant” them on the wires - it will be original. Or

choose a cable in a bright, contrasting color and create abstract shapes from it on the wall. For the most creative, one more option: organize a whole installation on the wall - a tree from floor to ceiling.

We welcome everyone who looked to us on the Internet light. Our portal is connected with electrical issues, but we do not forget to periodically talk about things indirectly related to it, which, however, are no less important in our everyday life.

The choice of today's topic fell on the TV on the bracket, namely, how to hide the wires from the TV on the wall. At first glance, it may seem that the question is not so complicated, but even the most ardent skeptics, after reading the material, will discover something interesting and new. So let's go!

We will start with the most obvious and will gradually move towards more interesting and original solutions.

Straight into the wall

Today, concealed wiring is more popular than ever, and indeed, people try to hide from their eyes any communications that, in their opinion, spoil the appearance of the interior. An exception was not made for the antenna wire for the TV, which very often has to be pulled through the entire apartment or house, since a high-quality video signal can often be obtained only by installing the receiver only in a certain place.

  • In solving this problem, floor plinths with cable channels are very helpful, able to hide most of the cable along its length. However, if the TV is hanging on the wall, the wire has to be taken out of the plinth and directed to it, and it is not difficult to guess that the whole picture immediately deteriorates.
  • Plus, do not forget that the antenna television wire is not the only cable that fits the TV. At a minimum, you will need to power the equipment from the electrical network, but, as a maximum, it will also include: LAN Internet cable (many modern TVs are already, in fact, a computer that can access the network); wires for transmitting video and audio signals from various DVD players, TV receivers, HI-FI acoustics and more.
  • The picture begins to emerge and is completely horrific, and sometimes the maximum that can be done is to wind everything up in a bunch of nylon ties, and at least somehow try to disguise all this disgrace.

Perhaps the most time-consuming and dirty way to hide such a number of wires will be laying them in the strobes made in the wall during the repair. However, the method can be safely called the most accurate and technologically advanced, since the wires hidden in this way will not be gnawed by your cat, no one will accidentally hook your foot, plus everything will be displayed in a single console containing all the necessary outputs.

In this case, there is no need to hollow out the entire wall in order to spread all the wires around the room. It is enough to stretch them to the same plinth and hide everything else in it.

The big disadvantage of this approach is that it is applicable only in the premises where repair work. If your walls are just done and you don't want to touch them anytime soon, then scroll right through to the next chapter for alternative methods for hiding your TV antenna wire.

If you are ready to take drastic measures, then stock up on tools and go ahead:

  • First of all, you need to accurately outline the location of the TV on the wall.
  • Next, determine which bracket you will use for mounting. This point is very important, because, despite the VESA world standard, which includes the most common attachment points, the brackets themselves can be of different shapes and sizes.

Advice! Without paying attention to this, you can end up with communications peeking out from behind the “carcass” of the TV, since the bracket is too massive, or it will interfere with switching.

  • It is desirable that the device is already in your hands, so that everything is measured clearly.
  • Try on the bracket to the TV and measure the distance that remains to the edges - it is on it that we will place all the sockets.
  • We transfer the measurements to the wall and begin to dust. The grinder cuts two vertical strips a couple of centimeters deep, at a distance of 2-3 centimeters from each other.
  • Next, the inner part is hollowed out with a puncher to form a full-fledged strobe.

  • After, with the help of diamond crowns, a series of holes is made for the purchased TV outlet. Immediately see that this element contains all the necessary outlets and a sufficient number of power points so that it is enough to connect all the equipment.
  • The next steps are extremely simple. First, all the wires are laid in the strobes, which must first be fixed with plastic brackets so that they do not fall out and do not interfere with further plastering.
  • The ends of the wires are connected according to the scheme with the socket, and it is installed in its place.
  • All grooves are sealed gypsum plaster, after which the subsequent finishing is performed.

cable channel

A less elegant solution would be to use a cable channel, but not everything is so simple - you can make this element yourself or find a non-standard store option, making it an integral part of the interior. Plus, do not forget that it will be much easier and faster to implement such an undertaking.

Having studied the assortment of electrical goods stores and those selling electronics, you can find the following types of cable channels:

  • The easiest option is PVC.. Everyone saw them - this is an ordinary plastic box in white or another color, which has a removable lid held on by latches. It is possible to successfully fit such a product into the interior only if it is combined with the surroundings. color scheme- will merge with it or vice versa will be brightly contrasting.

  • Quite a rarity - models from MDF that can be effectively combined with the environment.
  • Metal options- more often it is aluminum, which is shown in one of the photos above. Such a product looks impressive enough to become part of some futuristic interior.

The structure of all models is very similar. They are attached directly to the wall with dowel screws, after which all connections, together with wires, are hidden under a decorative overlay.

As already mentioned, in some cases it is advisable to make a box with your own hands. The quality of workmanship and the final appearance will depend entirely on your ability to handle the tool, as well as the type of materials used in the decoration of the room.

The photo above shows a very simple and at the same time spectacular way assembly of such a box. It is made of planed boards, between which all the wires are laid. Any decorative overlay can be placed on top of them, and the boards themselves can be painted in any shade to make them as inconspicuous as possible.

Special furniture

Furniture manufacturers also did not bypass the problem and offered their solutions to the buyer.

As you can see, the variety is very large, and there are enough non-standard furniture options. In part, they are not able to hide all communications and still require gating, however, with this approach, there will be much less dirt, so you can resort to this method even in a renovated room, doing everything as carefully as possible.

Creative approach to problem solving

Well, for dessert, we offer you several options that can not only be effective, but also allow you to additionally decorate the room.

decoration

A very interesting way out of the situation is not to hide the wires from the TV on the wall, but to decorate them, that is, to make them part of the interior.

Here are some interesting examples:

There are a lot of decoration options, and even manufacturers offer their own solutions. And if you have enough experience and imagination to create and implement your ideas, you can create a real masterpiece for mere pennies.

by the most simple ways artistic decoration will be the following options:

  • Parts of the wires can be placed behind the furniture, attached to it from the back with tape or staples;
  • Install living plants under the TV;
  • Use varnished driftwood;
  • Make a necklace out of wire by putting large beads on it;
  • Apply ready-made plastic clamps from the manufacturer;
  • And much more.

Decorative boxes

If the wires themselves do not bother you much, but the massive tees and extension cords "calm" your eyes, then original solution the question will be their placement inside a decorative box, which you can do yourself, or purchase a ready-made version. By the way, instructions for assembling one of these solutions will be given in the video attached to the article.

That, in principle, is all that we wanted to tell you about how you can hide or disguise the antenna wire for the TV and other cables. No need to put up with the given! Approach the matter wisely, and the result will not keep you waiting!

Completing renovations in a home or office, as well as carefully disguising existing wires, should not relax owners. Mounting on the wall of a new TV, replacing a computer, installation burglar alarm or additional wiring to power electrical appliances leads to a new switching. All this carries additional risks for children, animals and the appearance of the interior. What are the most effective masking methods? How to hide the wires in the apartment in compliance with the safety rules and preserve the design? Let's consider these points in more detail.

Internal disguise

The best option is to hide the cables even at the stage of overhaul. There are several ways here.

Disguise the wires in the wall. This technology can be used before or after wallpapering. To begin with, the paper is cut with a sharp knife, after which the edges are moved apart and fixed with needles. Next, using a perforator or manually, a strobe is made for masking. After completing this work, a cable is laid in the prepared recess , and the groove is closed with alabaster or plasticine. The final stage involves applying glue to the wallpaper and fixing them in place.

How to hide the wires under the wallpaper is shown here:

Hide the wires in the floor. There are several options here.

  • Disguise the wires in the floor plinth, where there is a cell for wires. When buying, it is important to pay attention to the design of the product, in the central part of which there should be a special recess. That's where the wires run. This method is characterized by versatility and ease of execution.
  • Hide the wiring in a strobe. Here the principle is the same as in the case of wall mounting. With the help of a perforator, a recess is made where the excess commutation fits. After that, the strobe is poured with cement and leveled to the level with the floor.
  • Fill with cement. If the quality of the flooring in the room leaves much to be desired, you can make a new screed by hiding the wires in it. The latter should be in the corrugation.

Remove wiring from the ceiling. Option two:

  • Hide the wires in a drywall niche installed around the perimeter.
  • Hide the wires in the gap between the stretch fabric and the main ceiling. In the latter case, it is worth notifying the masters in advance of your decision, otherwise you will have to apply other options.

outdoor camouflage

If the methods discussed above are not available for implementation, do not despair. To beautifully and cleverly hide numerous cords, you can use the opposite method, which involves external disguise. If you approach the issue wisely, numerous wires will in no way spoil the interior, but, on the contrary, will give it exclusivity and an unusual appearance.

Consider how to hide the wires from the outside. The options are:

  • Simulate a tree branch. A computer or television wire can be easily decorated by creating a small branch with it, decorated with homemade flowers, leaves or birds. Such a solution will transform the interior, give it uniqueness and brightness.
  • Make a tree. If the wire has a length of one and a half meters or more, you do not need to cut it - it will make a nice "tree". To fix the cord, special fasteners are used, with the help of which the necessary outlines are set.
  • Power station. lovers original design can simulate the supports on which the wires will be attached. This method allows you to solve two problems - to make the wires invisible to the eye and create a base for teaching your children.
  • Complex drawings. If you have free time and imagination, you can hide the wires on the wall by creating an original landscape. Here the main emphasis is on the contrast between the shade of the wallpaper (paint) and the cable. Separately, it is worth considering the elements that allow you to highlight the wiring.
  • Fence. One of the best options- fastening of wires in the top part of a plinth. But to hide them from the eyes, it is worth doing wooden blanks, having the shape of a fence, and then fix them on double-sided tape. This method is suitable for a corridor or a child's bedroom. For greater originality, each element of the "fence" can be decorated with a different color.
  • Car track. This option is the most labor-intensive, because it takes time to implement. To create a road, cardboard is used, from which the necessary object is cut out. Next, the paper is painted in a color suitable for the interior.
  • Other ways. In addition to the options listed above, the wires can be removed under the door trim, behind houseplants, under carpet or behind furniture.

Remember that it is better to develop a wire masking plan in advance, and then strictly adhere to it.

A lot of creative options for masking wires are shown in this video:

Hiding cords from the computer

Despite the popularity and availability of wireless technologies, many devices still need to be connected using wires. One of them is a computer, after installation of which a whole “web” of cords is assembled connecting the system unit with a monitor, a mains supply, a printer and other devices.

How to remove all the cables from under your feet, and at the same time not violate the overall design of the room. There are several options:

  • Hide the wires and extension cord in a special box. To implement the plan, it is enough to find a box of a suitable size, make several holes in it, and then mask all the switching in it. As an example, the use of the Plug Hub box from special plastic. Its peculiarity lies in the absence of a bottom and holes provided in the upper part. Such a "box" can be attached to the floor or to the wall.
  • Fixing cables under the tabletop. To the most simple options includes masking the switching under the table, which will require binders and short screws. Make sure that the length of the latter is 20-30 percent shorter than the thickness of the top of the table. First, an extension cord is attached under the tabletop, after which the wires are assembled into a bundle and clamped with binders fixed with screws. There are other options - fastening power cables with a construction stapler (special clamps are used) or conventional ties. In the latter case, the wires are pulled together into a common bundle and fixed to the table leg. The part of the connection that comes from the baseboard can be covered with plastic, matched to the color of the flooring. The filter socket should be hidden under the tabletop, fastening it with a wide Velcro (the latter is fastened with screws). To prevent wires from dangling, switching is laid in small cable channels, which are fixed with an insulating tape or a simple plaster.
  • Creativity. As discussed above, the cable does not have to be hidden somewhere. One of the options is to fix it to the wall with the help of clamps, followed by “fixing” the bird cut out of the magazine. If there are free funds, ugly chargers should be replaced with products in a more original design.

Properly hidden wires are a chance to improve interior design, eliminate the risk of electric shock to children and pets, and also get rid of the “web” from under your feet. But, in addition to the secrets already considered, it is worth considering a number of recommendations:

  • Multiple cords are important to store properly. To do this, all switching from set-top boxes, phones, computers and other equipment is put into a special box. To avoid confusion in the future, the purpose of each cable is signed. Use cable ties to avoid tangled wires.
  • If the wire is needed regularly, you can fix it around the perimeter of the table from the underside of the table top. With this attachment, the cord is easy to get at any time and connect to the device.
  • In the process of masking, it is important to mark each cable on one side and the other. Such foresight avoids confusion in the future, when the purpose of each of the switching elements is already forgotten.
  • Available in construction stores a wide range of special boxes made in different style and capable of completing the task. You can easily hide wires in them and not worry about interior design.
  • When using braided fabric, it is important to ensure that it does not sag. Otherwise, the risk of ignition increases, and the appearance of such a product leaves much to be desired.
  • The power cable should be as short as possible. In this case, the risks of injury from electric shock are reduced, and the masking process is simplified. If small children live in an apartment (house), it is worth remembering the danger posed by power cords. That is why it is desirable to hide the wires immediately after installing the equipment.
  • Cables that perform different functions must be separated from each other. So, the wires for powering a computer, printer, music center and other devices are connected separately from the power cords through which voltage is supplied. Thanks to this forethought, it is possible to minimize the pickup, which is the cause of noise and interference.
